Students were talking about the assembly throughout the halls after. Even the 9th graders, who are reportedly “too cool” to show people they enjoyed the show, were the last ones out and asking questions of the presenter… I would HIGHLY recommend Extreme Science to all schools or organizations that want to excite students about science. It’s a great way to “Kick-Off” a Science Fair!

Hi Mr. Hagerman,

We really enjoyed your performance for Extreme Science on February 17, 2011. Students K-9 were present at the assembly. The assembly was enjoyed by Kindergarten students through 9th grades. While sitting in the audience, students got a little talkative at times, I observed these students talking about what you were doing and predicting what would happen next.

I absolutely loved how well it will tied into our First Annual Science Expo. You covered the Scientific Method, Safety Precautions, and Educational Research before trying these experiments. Students were talking about the assembly throughout the halls after. Even the 9th graders, who are reportedly “too cool” to show people they enjoyed the show, were the last ones out and asking questions of the presenter. Somehow it would be cool to show kids can be this exciting every day. And, that is the purpose of our Science Expo: to show that science is about the real world and how the world works and that scientific advancements are what are going to make changes in our future.

So…I would HIGHLY recommend Extreme Science to all schools or organizations that want to excite students about science. It’s a great way to “Kick-Off” a Science Fair!

Thanks,

Ann Aldrich
